The dogs shown on this page have been retired from our breeding program. Some are Little Brownies dogs and others are dogs used in our breeding program but not owned by us. We show them here as a means for you to see and read a little about dogs that may show up in a pedigree containing Little Brownies dogs. So often people will see a name in a pedigree wonder about the looks of the dog or want to know something about it. Unfortunately, such information is not easy to come by. We hope that this page helps to prevent that from occurring with at least some of our dogs.

Daffne Od Valinky
Call name: Daffne

Daffne, is an import from Europe. If you read through our website you will learn that we helped to establish a group of AWS from a variety of kennels in both Eastern and Western Europe back in the 1990s and early 2000s; and we still send some dogs over there from time to time. We wanted to recapture some of those old lines so we purchased Daffne about three years ago from a newer breeder in the Czech Republic. Given that their hunting standards are much tougher than ours, we thought it would be an interesting prospect to see what they have done with their program. She has proven to be an intensively driven dog in both the water and uplands. Her love of water showed up the day we got her home and she has shown that the Europeans are keeping up the intense work ethic of the AWS. Pull out a gun and Daffne is ready to go... anywhere there are birds. She produced her final litter in 2022 and has now been retired to a life of leisure and field work.

Ginger is the daughter of Stone and Namy. She was co-owned with a friend of ours that lives in Buffalo, NY. There she has undergone a great deal of obedience training. Ginger came to permanently stay with us in 2021. Although older now, Ginger is still a spirited dog with a lot of drive and love of birds. She works as well in the water as she does in the uplands. Ginger had her first litter in 2018 and her final litter in 2024. She produced a number of excellent field dogs and companions along the way but is now settled in to retirement.
